Enrolled Agents Training

The Licensed Tax Professionals

Enrolled Agents (EAs) are Federally Authorized Tax Practitioners who have technical expertise in the field of taxation and are licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue, at all administrative levels for audits, collections, and appeals. These are also the only group of tax practitioners who are required by federal law to maintain their expertise through continuing professional education.

TaxJohn employs Enrolled Agents on staff on a year-round basis to assist clients who receive correspondence from the

IRS and need professional advice or representation. Unlike the regular tax preparers, these Enrolled Agents are specially

trained in the tax laws and spend considerable time attending various training programs that keep them up to date with the ever-changing tax laws.

Advance Tax Course

The Course, taught by veteran tax professionals with extensive hands-on experience, covers essential knowledge in tax preparation and client interview techniques designed to enable graduates to be fully competent and successful. Beginning with elementary topics, the course navigates through 60 hours of tax topics, fully exposing the student to all areas of individual tax preparation. Qualified graduates are then ready for new careers as Tax Professionals.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be an accountant to be a tax professional. Being fairly efficient and comfortable with numbers will go a long way, but high-level knowledge of math and finance is not necessary. A career as a tax professional is almost assured after successfully completing our Basic Comprehensive Income Tax Course.
